Coach and mentor independent student journalists at The OU Daily and Sooner yearbook. At The Daily, we grew unique visitors 192%, total page views 177%, total social following 292% and football game day page views 861% in my first three years vs. prior three. We also were National College Media Outlet of the Year, Gold Crown and print Pacemaker winners, a digital Pacemaker runner up and placed four students in the Associated Press Sports Editors’ top 10 student contest in two years. At Sooner, we have won a Pacemaker and a Silver Crown, set a sales record, overhauled our business strategy and launched online ordering and a magazine division. In the past three years, The Daily and Sooner have sent students on to nearly 70 internships or jobs.
